The Strathalbyn Agricultural Society has the pleasure of showcasing the local farming grains, produce, wool, livestock and indoor exhibitions on our show day.
Strathalbyn Show is located in the heart of the township and both visitors and locals enjoy a family day of browsing the exhibitions, displays, huge livestock (dairy cows, beef cattle, alpacas, sheep, miniature goats and dairy goats), exciting new Ubute children’s games, carnival amusement rides, circus sessions, whip cracking, live music entertainment, The Funny Farmers, Animal Nursery and Wilbur’s Wildlife. You can walk around the grounds showing the children plenty of fun and games and be sure to check out the new exciting works “Junk To Art” competition display. The Eastern Fleurieu School Students Choir and Band will perform the National Anthem at the opening ceremony at 12noon.
Kids activities include games on the oval, animal nursery, Scouts rock climbing wall, show bags, exciting sideshow rides, Strath Trail Bag and roving entertainment. Come and see the large indoor exhibits in the Show Hall displaying cut flowers, dressmaking, needlework, crochet, cookery, produce, preserves, floral art, pot plants, eggs, fruit and vegetables plus grains. Plus the junior categories in all sections. Huge livestock exhibits of both dairy and beef cattle, sheep, alpacas, goats and junior poultry.
No dogs allowed due to the stud stock on the grounds.
