As part of the National Community Foundation Forum - Better Together

‘Better Together’: A conversation about what it takes to build a successful team, community or movement.

We invite the local community to join us as we meet an outstanding South Australian who will share her story and reflect on social inclusion, respect and the importance of team work – all essential in community philanthropy, and ways in which we can each help build fairer communities.

As one of Australia’s greatest-ever team sports stars, Erin Phillips could easily adopt “Better Together” as the motto for her career. She is also a social rights campaigner, and a proud South Australian. An Olympic, Commonwealth Games and World Championship medallist in Basketball and two times premiership captain in AFLW, Erin certainly knows what it takes to be a part of and lead a successful team. Join us for a conversation and Q&A session with Erin where we will discuss the parallels of leadership across sport and community, the importance of place, and what it takes to create a movement.
Moderator / facilitator: Matt Jenkins, CEO, Ballarat Foundation

Light refreshments will be available at the close of this event for people wishing to stay a little for autographs, photo opps and more conversation.
