Mundoo Island Station

Farmstay Hindmarsh Island

Hours: By appointment only

Mundoo Island Station is a privately owned and operated cattle and sheep station which commenced in 1843 – only 7 years after South Australia was proclaimed a colony.

Surrounded by the beautiful Coorong water on one side and the fresh water of the River Murray on the other, Mundoo Island is a unique part of South Australia.

We offer farm stay for a maximum of 4 guests and Coorong water-side camping opportunities in our paddocks for camper trailers, tents or caravans. Kayak hire is available for our guests to explore the beautiful waterways.

Historic station tours are conducted regularly as are photographic tours. Specific bird watching tours are available to view the magnificent Coorong birdlife - especially during the spring and summer months, when migratory birds are present in their thousands. Our tours generally run for 1.5 hours.
As we are an operating cattle and sheep station, tours can only be arranged when we have time available to do so.
